London 100 Years Ago

Sinopse

"An astonishing collection of photographs recording how London, the capital city of Great Britain and the epicentre of the Empire, looked one hundred years ago. Queen Victoria's London is revealed with all its contrasts of ancient and modern, rich and poor. This book documents the appearance of many well-known landmarks at that date, as well as illustrating many splendid buildings and streetscapes that have now gone, swept away in the name of progress or destroyed by war."--Jacket.
