Susan had not worked for dear old Sir Adrian Storr for very long before he died, but she had become very fond of him and he of her. Nevertheless it was a tremendous shock to be told that he had left her a large fortune - and even more disconcerting when she learned of the condition attached to the bequest. She was, it seemed, to live at Storr Hall, the home of Sir Adrian's nephew Justin Storr, until Justin should marry.
