Love and Pride

Sinopse

There will be more than one man in your life . . . Alexandrine d'Albret — country bred, convent reared — and newly married to elderly Luc Boussieres, Marquis de Meziere, refused to believe Solange, the gypsy fortune teller. If she stays faithful to his death, Luc will make her a rich young widow; an easy vow to give before Alain Ratan, Due de Balaincourt, invaded her safe existence. Nothing had prepared her for the glittering, immoral court of Louis XV. A world of gaiety, high living — of intrigue and deception — of betrayal! Beware the hunter when coloured lights fill the sky . . . Solange's second prophecy would determine Alexandrine's future ... and she was helpless to prevent it.
