By the power of the Holy Spirit

Sinopse

The Holy Spirit makes his impact on the world primarily through the church -- sending, guiding, teaching believers, so that Jesus Christ is glorified. David Howard digs into scripture and draws on his experience as a missionary in Colombia to portray how the Holy Spirit unites the body of Christ, commissions and empowers it for outreach and gives gifts to individuals to strengthen the whole body. Tough questions are asked and answered: What is the baptism of the Spirit? What are the gifts of the Spirit? How are they related to world evangelism? Must every Christian speak in tongues? This is a book for anyone seeking the presence and power of the Spirit in his life with God in this world. - Back cover.
