Who's who of twentieth century novelists

Sinopse

"From Joseph Conrad and Ford Madox Ford, through Albert Camus and Franz Kafka, to Chinua Achebe and Peter Hoeg ... some 1,000 clear and concise entries provide key biographical details, social context and thumbnail sketches of significant works for those novelists who have formatively influenced twentieth-century fiction, drawn from a broad range of countries, genres and styles. As well as the major figures of the twentieth-century canon, Who's Who of Twentieth-Century Novelists covers writers of popular genre fiction, such as science fiction, romance and thriller; rising young contemporary authors; and a truly global spread of novelists whose work has been translated into English and who have been a major influence on the development of Anglophone fiction. Who's Who of Twentieth-Century Novelists is an indispensable reference guide for anyone interested in world fiction during the twentieth century."--Jacket.
