Edward Lear and Lewis Caroll became the most representative authors of humorous nonsense poems in the nineteenth century. The complete nonsense book is a compilation of Lear's poetry; limeriks, alphabet rhymes and narrative poems. His verses' main characteristic is the absurd, each of his verses have grotesque drawings.
